T.B Joshua React to Anti Gay Law

 

As news of the controversial law banning same-sex marriage continues to make headlines worldwide after it was signed into law by President Goodluck Jonathan, the renowned spiritual head of the Synagogue church in Lagos, Prophet TB Joshua has spoken out on the contentious issue.

“Judge not, so that you will not be judged,” Joshua began, citing Matthew 7:1 for Scriptural backing. “We should talk to people to be saved and not to die. I mean, we should talk salvation, not condemnation. The Bible is my standard.”

Through a new initiative on his ministries official Facebook page, with almost 900,000 fans, in which the cleric responds to people’s questions in an interactive session, he addressed the much debated question on same-sex marriage.

 Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, the Chairman of the ruling People Democratic Party (PDP) has resigned from his position.
President Goodluck Jonathan this afternoon accepted Alhaji Tukur's resignation and wished him well in his future endevour.

Gunmen Attack Gov. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso's father; Alhaji Musa Kwankwaso

Reports from Kano just now have it that Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso's father; Alhaji Musa Kwankwaso who holds the traditional title of Maji Dadin Kano and District Head of Madubi was attacked by unknown gunmen in the outskirts of Kano city.

Although the details are still sketchy with   sources saying the attack occurred at a mosque while another version has it that the elderly Kwankwaso was attacked at his residence.

Another version has it that the gunmen killed several persons after shooting  sporadically on their way to Mr. Kwankwaso’s residence while the old man narrowly escaped being killed.

China, the world's largest tobacco consumer, is aiming to ban indoor smoking in public areas by the end of the year.
About one in three cigarettes smoked in the world is in China, according to the World Health Organization. And more than half of Chinese men smoke, according to the Global Adult Tobacco Survey in 2010.

Although the nation's health ministry issued guidelines in 2011 to ban smoking in places like hotels and restaurants, they haven't been "strictly enforced," according to Xinhua, China's state-run news agency.
The China's National Health and Family Commission is now working on a tobacco control law with clear punishments, according to Xinhua.

China's smoking habit The country's health authorities estimate over a million deaths from tobacco-related diseases every year. The WHO warns that if tobacco use is not decreased in China, these deaths will increase to 3 million by 2050.

Incredible!!! Woman caught sneaking into U.S. in suitcase

 

Customs and Border Protection officers foiled a smuggling attempt at the U.S.-Mexico border when they discovered a woman contorted and hidden inside a suitcase.

Officials released a photo this week showing the woman tucked into a ball and laying inside the luggage in the back of a vehicle.

The woman, a Thai national named Pornkamol Mongkolsermsak, was charged with re-entry after deportation, CBP spokesman Victor Brabble said.

She was discovered on December 30, when inspectors at the border referred the driver of a Honda SUV for a secondary inspection, CBP said in a statement.

In Lagos Fuel Tanker Fire Kill Five and Burnt alot of Houses

 

Fire and explosion from a fuel tanker has killed at least five residents and destroyed many homes in  Apapa area of Lagos State .

The tanker, a 33,000 liters PMS conveyor lost control after its brakes failed and somersaulted, causing a wild explosion along the Berger bus stop, near Mile 2.

General Manager of the Lagos Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Mr. Olufemi Osanyintolu told our correspondent that the fire began at about 10pm Tuesday night.

He said his agency   immediately activated all its rescue units and alerted affiliate agencies to ensure the fire was cortailed before serious damage could be done.

Many residents also had severe injuries from the incident and have been taken for medical care at hospitals in the area.

Lagos Pastor, Sign Fireman Arrest Over Ritual Murder Of A Virgin Girl

Controversial Lagos miracle Pentecostal priest, Pastor Ofuche Ukoha (also known as) "Sign Fireman" has been implicated in a ritual murder scandal involving a boy in his church who strangled 12 year old teenage girl while trying to obtain feces from her for ritual purposes.

The disclosure of Pastor Fireman's involvement in the scandal was made by an eighteen year old boy paraded by the police in Lagos. The teenage suspect stated during the parade that he was sent on the ritual mission by Pastor  Fireman.

He said he had always dreamt of becoming rich and had approached the pastor personally, after years of attending the church without his own financial miracle happening, Mr. Fireman reportedly told him the way to get his Sign for finance was to get the feces of a virgin girl. The suspect said Pastor Fireman promised him a reward of N100,000 for the assignment.
 

Five Policemen, Detained In Imo State For Renting Rifle To Kidnappers

 

Five policemen serving in Imo State police command, including the armourer of New Owerri police division, are now cooling their heels in detention following the discovery that one of the AK-47 rifles officially issued for guard duties was being used by dare devil kidnappers terrorizing the state.

The state Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Musa Katsina, who confirmed the development, said while four of the five policemen were explaining their complicity in the sordid act, the armourer is being tried for negligence of duty.

Katsina said: “It is true that I ordered the arrest, detention and interrogation of four serving policemen of this command for allegedly renting one of the rifles assigned to them to dare devil kidnappers”.

According to the CP, all the police officers, including the armourer arrested in connection with the sordid finding, are now facing orderly room trial.

He said: “I have constituted a panel to try them. They have been given the opportunity to explain and anybody found to be involved in the crime would be made to face the full weight of the law”.

Ngerian Man Killed his Wife in New Jersey

On Friday December 27th, 33 year old Babatope Owoseni was arrested in East Orange, New Jersey in connection with the death of his wife who was nine months pregnant at the time of her death.

26 year old Fatoumata Owoseni was found unresponsive at the 39 South Munn Avenue apartment she shared with Babatope. The police have not released info on how he allegedly killed her. Babatope has been charged with her murder and is being held without bail at the Essex County Corrections Facility
